Running workshops for teachers has been a very significant bit of professional development! I highly recommend it. When you have been a teacher on the other end of it you know just how important it is to understand your audience and be useful! Once over the pressure, it has been great fun and an incredible privilege to meet so many teachers from all over the world and visit so many schools. I am a full time teacher with lots of interests in my own school and so my opportunities are limited to 3 or 4 events a year in total.

IB Approved Workshops – Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation & ToK
I have been lucky enough to work with InThinking and the IBEN to provide IB approved workshops in mathematics since 2010. I am also a qualified workshop leader for ToK. As a full time teacher I will generally do 2 of these a year in accordance with IBEN.

Freelance workshops
The international school community is spread far and wide but small at the same time. As such, the people I have met have lead to a number of very exciting invitations for freelance events about mathematical design. This has taken me all over Europe as well as Asia and even as far as Australia. The goal is always to understand the needs of the school and excite people about mathematical tasks!
